2010 MCC March Madness II

It's March Madness. Several members have expressed a desire for shorter time games, so MCC is offering Quick Chess G/29 for March Madness. It's two rounds on two Thursday nights in March. Caleb has agreed to be the TD. This does not affect your regular USCF rating, only USCF Quick Chess rating. USCF membership required. Discount for MCC paid members. UPDATE: The group decided to go with an unrated "for fun" tournament instead of a USCF rated tournament. No entry fees, no prizes (but bragging rights to the winner!)

Morgantown Chess Club, 100 Cobun Ave (Church basement), Morgantown WV 26501

Format: 4-round Swiss or Quads by rating depending on the number of players. G/29.

Schedule: Rounds start at 7:30pm and 9:00pm, Thursday evenings.

Regular rounds: Thursday evenings - March 11 and March 18. No Alternate play dates for this one. It's March Madness!

Registration: Onsite March 11, 2010, 7:00-7:20pm. USCF membership required. MCC membership recommended: Regular $20, Junior (19 & under) / Student $10, Senior (65 & over) $10. Beginners and all playing levels welcome.

Entry Fee: $5 ($10 for non-members of MCC). no entry fee.

Club meets Thursday evenings from 7 to 11pm at First Christian Church (basement) in Morgantown (directions). The club is closed the last Thursday of every month.
